It's not that the politicians are overreacting, it's more like they're reacting to the people overreacting ... if that makes any sense. I mean, isn't Merkel a physics doctor, or something? Shouldn't she know all about nuclear power already?

I have the same thing with Thomas Mann. I can respect the fact that he is brilliant, yet I can't make it through any of his novels. ^^
